i see your shadow
it breaks like a wave
i got your message
i know what it says
children and old men
have something to say
we listen to rivers
i'll meet you some day
i feel the water
that falls on my face
the touch of your song
on my mind brings me faith
in a bright future
you'll be there some day
i'll meet you on mountains
i'll meet you on rivers
i saw your picture
it was there yesterday
the wings of an eagle
took you away
a train from the future
will carry you back
i'll meet you at stations
i'll meet some day

golden boats float down a
river of sighs
rain on the street is falling
tears my eyes
wings of an angel open
in the dark sky
rain on my face is falling
when billy cries
when billy cries
wind in the trees is blowing
thoughts in the mind
down on the street the cars are
passing by
passing by
when all the passengers
from nowhere, arrive
through the blue the rain that's pouring
we smile
wind on the water's blowing
moon in the mind
in the rain Billy's walking
don't cry
billy don't cry
wind in the trees is blowing
thoughts in the mind
down on the street the cars are
passing by
passing by
wings of an angel open
in the dark sky
rain on my face is falling
when billy cries
when billy cries

Mercy
03:14
|
|||
o love
he waits behind the door
he hears his father come
to push him down the stars
o hate
a broken man is lost
when in the fathers eyes
the enemy is child
and in a darkening sky
black birds fly
and one by on the children fall a sleep
as i cry
o god
have mercy on us all
my brother lies a sleep
protect him as i weep
o love
he waits behind the door
he hears his father come
to push him down the stars
o hate
a broken man is lost
when in the fathers eyes
the enemy is child

Fair Winds
05:14
|
|||
winter came upon us as we made our way
moving west into the mountains from the plane
it was chill upon those hills on the day we came
to the pass at prendergast and we all prayed.
oh help us find our way
though bitter winds we face
we'll push on to a place
where children laugh and play
may fair
winds blow
where we go
may sun
and rain come again
and may we grow
as we crossed that cursed pass we cursed the day
that we left that little town of pride and hate
with sick children in the wagons and some horses dead
we paused on the side of the mountain to break bread
we ask for strength to climb
another mountain side
we'll push on to a time
a green valley we will find
may fair
winds blow
where we go
may sun
and rain come again
and may we grow

the Village
03:41
|
|||
saturday i made my way
past apple trees, i walked
into the village through the gate.
a breeze was coming off the lake
sunday is a holy the day
in the village by the lake.
the butcher boy bent down to pray.
i saw saw a smile on his face.
....the smoke blowing , the wind rising;
boys fly kites and girls sit talking.
though the butcher boy is laughing
leaves are falling, winters coming.
monday morning i went walking.
the butcher boy saw me coming.
good day sir he said to to the me.
and by the school house we stood talking
....the smoke blowing , the wind rising;
boys fly kites and girls sit talking.
though the butcher boy is laughing
leaves are falling, winters coming.
tuesday, wednesday, thursday, friday;
the butcher boy and i went riding.
the wind was blowing in his face,
and the butcher boy was smiling.
saturday i made my way
past apple trees, i walked
into the village through the gate.
a breeze was coming off the lake

Raindrops and Whistles
04:03
|
|||
i stood on the platform
i stood in the rain
as we said good by
and the train pulled away
raindrops and whistles
clackety clack
the sound of the train
i'll never forget
all the thoughts in my head
won't help now
but the memory of you
might help somehow
but raindrops and whistles
clackety clack
the sound of a train
won't bring you back
i took for granted
the love in your eyes
i will never forget
your lovely smile
but i was ambitious
i loved the climb
to the top of the hill
and some day we,d have time
to walk in the rain
and we'd take a train
to a happier place
but that train never came
i was ambitious
but i new some day
you would love me again
when we had some time
i stood on the platform
i stood in the rain
as we said good by
and the train pulled away

Tyger Tyger
03:35
|
|||
Tyger! Tyger! burning bright,
In the forests of the night,
What immortal hand or eye
Could frame thy fearful symmetry?
In what distant deeps or skies
Burnt the fire of thine eyes?
On what wings dare he aspire?
What the hand dare sieze the fire?
And what shoulder, & what art,
Could twist the sinews of thy heart?
And when thy heart began to beat,
What dread hand? & what dread feet?
What the hammer? what the chain?
In what furnace was thy brain?
What the anvil? what dread grasp
Dare its deadly terrors clasp?
When the stars threw down their spears,
And water'd heaven with their tears,
Did he smile his work to see?
Did he who made the Lamb make thee?
Tyger! Tyger! burning bright
In the forests of the night,
What immortal hand or eye
Dare frame thy fearful symmetry?

Billy Walker
03:56
|
|||
Billy Walker walked into a bar in L A.
The bar tender was from Chicago, & he knew that face.
Hay Billy, what's happening?
Do you remember? Do you remember
the time we.. we made a fool of
that politician, in Philadelphia.
Hay George, where have you ben all these years?
Yes I remember, and you can buy me a beer.
That guy was so drunk he could not stand up.
I couldn't stand him. "He was making a speech"
about morality. "Said he was running for the Senate."
We put him in a cab. "Sent him to Washington".
That guy was so drunk he could not stand up.
I couldn't stand him. "He was making a speech"
About morality. "Said he was running for the Senate."
We put him in a cab. Sent him to Washington.

the Kings of this World
04:19
|
|||
noisy traffic ,down on the street
there building a home for rich people, next-store
i got up early, it's 11 o clock
i slept all night with a boy
i slept all night with a boy
don't get me wrong, he's almost 19
i'd never break any law
the kings of this world
are good as there word
you can trust them, as far as you throw
you can trust them, as far as you throw
the sun is up. it's time for a toke
my boy and i, we both know
the dirty rivers, that run through our lives
were made by the yachts in the cove
were made by the yachts in the cove
the night was cool
and you were so warm
i dreamed we were running
i dreamed we were tumbling
and all of the stars
that covered the sky
sparkled so far away
but we were so close
noisy traffic ,down on the street
there building a home for rich people, next-store
i got up early, it's 11 o clock
i slept all night with a boy
i slept all night with a boy

|

I will sing you a song
on Christmas day
on Christmas morning
l will drink to your health
I hope you are well
I hope you are growing
The hills are covered in snow**
the bells in the tower
ring out on Christmas
and on, on Christmas day
the bells in the hills
will ring out for love
I will sing you a song
on Christmas day
on Christmas morning
l will drink to your health
I hope you are well
I hope you are growing
The hills are covered in snow**
the bells in the tower
ring out on Christmas

the bells in the hills
will ring out for love

my heart starts bating
when i'm speaking
with you
" your just great"

i'll always love you
and talk
to you
so try to love me
and if you meet me
be nice
cause i like you
my heart starts bating
when i'm speaking
with you
" your just great"
and in the evening
i sit here thinking
of you
